Dementia Beyond Typical Alzheimer’s Disease: Strategies for Both Patient and Caregiver

SPEAKER: Mario Mendez, M.D., Ph.D. - Professor in Residence of Neurology and Psychiatry & Biobehavioral Sciences, UCLA School of Medicine

Dr. Mendez is a behavioral neurologist with extensive publications in the area of cognition and neurodegenerative disease. He is a member and on the board of several of scientific professional organizations. Currently, he is on the Medical Advisory Board of the Association for Fronto-Temporal Dementia (FTD) and a member of the National Institutes of Health's committee, working on the improvement of the clinical criteria for FTD and related syndromes. Dr. Mendez will provide an overview of the clinical and treatment aspects of Fronto-Temporal Dementia, young onset Alzheimer's disease, and Dementia with Lewy Bodies.
