We will be discussing the research behind the DASH diet, key nutrients, and how it can significantly lower blood pressure.
WEEK 2: May 19
DASH and Low Sodium Cooking Demo
We will learn how to incorporate the DASH principles into our everyday life so they become lifelong habits.
WEEK 3: May 26
Anti- Inflammatory Eating
What is chronic inflammation and what can we do to fight it? We will talk about Inflammation lowering nutrients and how to reduce inflammation in your body.
WEEK 4: June 2
Anti-inflammatory Cooking Demo
We will review anti-inflammatory foods and how to incorporate them into our diet. We will be trying a few simple recipes that can reduce chronic inflammation.
Dianne Staso, MS, RD, is a Registered Dietitian with a Master’s Degree in Nutrition and Exercise Physiology from the University of Tennessee. Dianne provides individual nutrition counseling for weight loss, elevated blood sugar levels, high cholesterol, cancer, sports nutrition and any other condition that involves diet and health.
