WalkAbout Redondo

The fifth annual WalkAbout Redondo is a collaboration by the North Redondo Beach Business Association (NRBBA), Blue Zones Project and Beach Cities Health District.

This family-friendly community event encourages residents, tourists and business owners to safely walk Artesia Blvd. and meet local businesses in a fun, casual atmosphere.

The Redondo WalkAbout circuit is 2.8 miles and a great way to get exercise, while becoming more familiar with local businesses. The WalkAbout Circle follows the sidewalks extending from The South Bay Galleria to Aviation Blvd.

This year the event will include a "Jane's Walk" with Councilman John Gran starting at 11:00 a.m. at the Redondo Beach Community Services Building, 1922 Artesia Blvd, Redondo Beach.

Jane’s Walks encourage people to share stories about their neighborhoods, discover unseen aspects of their communities, and use walking as a way to connect with their neighbors. Inspired by Jane Jacobs, the urbanist and author who championed the voices of everyday people in neighborhood planning and city-building, these outdoor citizen-led walking tours will allow you to learn and reflect about your community and see your neighborhood in a different light.
This walk is about 1.5 miles long and will take between an hour and an hour and a half. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and bring sunscreen and water.

All walks are free, but RSVPs are required as space is limited for each walk. Please register here.

WalkAbout Redondo is a FREE community event supported and funded by the NRBBA.
