Drug Use: Understanding the Risks and Developing Conversation Skills

Parents play an important role in teen substance abuse prevention. Set your teens up for success. Join the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health and the Substance Use Prevention and Control program for our upcoming virtual training.
- Learn about the risks associated with substance use and abuse
- Learn how to have healthy conversations about substance use
- Practice helping your teen develop a drug refusal plan

Please note: Training is open to all parent/guardians of LAC middle and/or high school students. All attendees receive a Public Health Ambassador Certificate for at least 30-minutes of participation and completion of a post-training evaluation survey. Additionally, first-time Public Health Ambassador trainees are eligible for an electronic $25 participation award.
